The National Cyber Security Centre has said that when it comes to phishing prevention, organisations should avoid ‘blame and fear’, and instead use technical measures to manage the threat.

It recommends organisations adopt measures that work towards:

  • Preventing the delivery of phishing emails
  • Preventing the execution of initial code
  • Preventing harm using DNS filtering tools, endpoint detection and response monitoring
  • Building a strong reporting culture
