HOTMAIL PHISHING ATTACK – TIME FOR THE TALKING TO STOP!
Microsoft has been challenged to abandon conventional password logins after a phishing attack that
saw details of more than 10,000 Hotmail accounts – including passwords – posted online.
And since the email accounts whose stolen details were posted all began with A or B, it is feared that
more than 150,000 Hotmail users may have been compromised.

A Miami-based hacker is facing 25 years in jail after admitting stealing up to 40 million credit and debit
card numbers and selling them to fraudsters in Eastern Europe and Central Asia.
Nobody knows how much the fraudsters managed to steal – but New York Judge Patti Saris said she
had a “sinking sensation” that the $1.6 million seized from 28-year-old Albert Gonzalez would go
nowhere near covering all the losses. And as he now faces similar charges in New Jersey, the list of
victims looks set to grow still further.

SAFELOGIN™ COULD HAVE PREVENTED $111,000 DOMAIN THEFT
Lax password security could have enabled a hacker to break into a GoDaddy.com account, steal a
domain name, and then sell it to a Los Angeles basketball pro for $111,000.
Donald Gonclaves of New Jersey is currently on $60,000 bail and faces a possible 60-year sentence if
convicted of the fraud. He has been charged with hacking into the email account of the real owners of
P2P.com to get the login details,

SAFELOGIN™ WOULD HAVE SPARED TWITTER'S BLUSHES
Image-based log-in security would have prevented a lapse of security that allowed an unknown hacker
to gain access to to more than 300 of Twitter's internal company documents, says Reading-based
Tricerion Ltd.
According to Infosecurity Magazine, the hacker was able to break into the GoogleApps account where
the documents were stored.
